Find reclaimable space, understand why it can go, preview every change, then confirm. All inside a native Mac app. No terminal wrappers. No opaque Clean Now button.

**Price:** $13.99 one-time · **License:** 1 Mac · **OS:** macOS 13 Ventura or later · **Version:** 1.2.3

## Why Cleer

A cleanup tool that shows its work.

Built for Mac users whose disks fill with downloads, media, and developer projects, and who refuse opaque cleanup buttons.

### See what is taking space

Overview, storage analysis, and cleanup suggestions stay in one place so the next step is obvious instead of guesswork.

### Preview every change

Caches, logs, browser leftovers, installers, app residue, and project artifacts appear in a readable list before anything is removed.

### Keep the final say

Cleer explains each action in plain language, skips system files by default, and waits for your confirmation.

## How it works

1. **Scan** — Choose a task and let Cleer inspect the relevant parts of your Mac locally.
2. **Review** — Read the result, open the details, and deselect anything you want to keep.
3. **Confirm** — Approve the final list only when it matches what you intended.

## Features

### Overview

See load, memory, disk, and next steps in one place.

CPU, memory, disk, power, network, and process status stay in one dashboard so you can start a safe check from here.

### Smart Clean

Preview once, then review, clean, and confirm.

Caches, logs, browser leftovers, crash diagnostics, developer caches, and Trash share one preview first flow: suggested, needs review, or won't auto clean.

### Categories

Review personal files by familiar macOS storage categories.

Developer, creator caches, documents, music, mail attachments, photos, videos, and more — applications stay in Uninstall Apps, and nothing is deleted automatically.

### Uninstall

See leftovers before the app disappears.

Inspect app bundles, containers, caches, support files, and user login agents. Sort by long unused. System services stay untouched by default.

### Optimize

Refresh services and caches only after you know what will change.

Rebuild caches, organize diagnostics, and recover from common issues with a readable preview — no hidden scripts, and no file deletion in this flow.

### Storage

Choose a location and find what uses the most space.

Large files and heavy folders surface in one pass, so you can review reclaimable space without hunting through Finder.

### Projects

Find regenerable project artifacts, not your source trees.

Cleer spots Node, Xcode, Python, Rust, Gradle, and more — each rule explains source and rebuild notes. Source directories are never suggested by default.

### Installers

Find downloaded installers before they quietly eat space.

Cleer scans common download locations and groups installer files into one review flow you can inspect before deleting.

### Duplicates

Find files with identical content. Same names alone do not count.

Scanning reads files only and never changes them. Cleanup always moves extras to Trash, and each group keeps at least one copy by default.

### History

Answer what filled the disk recently, with local only snapshots.

Record snapshots on this Mac, see what grew the most, and review cleanup effect trends. Filenames and content never leave the machine.

### iCloud

Manage cloud files, including items not downloaded to this Mac.

Cleer lists cloud metadata in the folder you allow, including iCloud only files, without auto downloading. Deletion moves items to Trash and syncs across your Apple Account.

### Settings

Activation, language, safeguards, and updates in one place.

Purchase email, license key, cleanup method, protection list, appearance, language, and update checks live in Settings — no separate account system.

## Agent Tools (Beta)

Drive Cleer from the terminal or your Agent.

Cleer 1.2.0 adds a local cleer CLI and MCP server for Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code. Same scan engine and license as the app. Cleanup still needs approval in Cleer.

## FAQ

### How many Macs does one purchase cover?

One purchase activates one Mac. If you reinstall Cleer or replace your Mac, open Settings and unbind the license, then bind it again on the Mac you want to use.

### What are Cleer Agent Tools?

Agent Tools is a Cleer 1.2.0 beta that adds the cleer CLI and a local MCP server. Install it from Settings. Scans work from the terminal or clients like Cursor; applying cleanup still needs approval in the Cleer app.

### Will I see my license key immediately after paying?

Yes. Right after checkout, the success page shows your license key and download link. The same details are also sent by email.

### Which email becomes my license email?

Before Stripe opens, Cleer asks for your purchase email. That same email is prefilled at checkout and becomes the email tied to your license.

### Does Cleer delete files immediately?

No. Preview does not delete anything. Cleer shows a readable list first, so you confirm only after you understand the change.

### Which versions of macOS are supported?

Cleer supports macOS 13 Ventura or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

### Is Cleer a subscription?

No. The $13.99 purchase is a single payment and includes future updates. If you are not satisfied, you can request a refund within 7 days.

### Does cleanup run on my Mac?

Yes. Scanning and maintenance run locally inside the native macOS app. Activation and update checks need a network connection.
