## What's new in 1.2.3

- Uninstall can move iPhone and iPad apps, and other apps the file API cannot trash, through Finder.
- Cleanup receipts keep the real failure reason instead of a generic English fallback.
- The uninstall list marks iPhone and iPad apps.
- Clicking a folder in Storage Analysis updates the list to that folder. The last scan keeps a navigation index in memory when the on-disk index cannot be written.
- The unused lifecycle-chevron tooltip is gone.

## Cleer 1.2.2

Released August 20, 2026. Cleer 1.2.2 makes cleanup results easier to trust and the Mac app easier to update.

- Cleanup receipts explain skipped items. Hover the skipped-count info icon to see why Cleer left a path alone, including macOS Software Update caches.
- Dates and relative times follow the language you chose in Cleer, not the system locale.
- When an update is available, an install button appears next to Settings. The download sheet works from any page.
- Hint icons use Cleer's own tooltip, so skip reasons stay readable and match the app theme.
- In installer and uninstall selection mode, clicking anywhere on a row selects that item.

## Cleer 1.2.1

Released August 13, 2026. Cleer 1.2.1 tightens scan accuracy, disk reporting, and the review UI.

- Uninstall leftover scans skip symlink leftovers, so aliases and links do not inflate leftover lists.
- Open Trash opens the system Trash window instead of selecting ~/.Trash inside Home.
- Overview, Space History, and cleanup results use the same disk-capacity numbers, including external and exFAT volumes.
- You can cancel Storage Analysis from the header. Refreshing status no longer takes over that cancel control.
- TypeScript .ts files and lyrics files such as .lrcx are no longer listed as videos.
- Category cleanup rows show disk usage without selecting a file.
- Space History charts available space, growth, and space freed by cleanup.
- Agent Tools CLI and MCP scan results include per-category sizes and available disk space. The MCP tool list is unchanged.

## Cleer 1.2.0

Released August 12, 2026. Cleer 1.2.0 makes scans faster, cleanup results easier to review, and the Mac app more compact.

- A redesigned warm, minimal interface with clearer navigation and tighter layouts.
- Faster category, storage, and uninstall scans with less repeated filesystem work.
- A searchable app-uninstall list with app files, caches, containers, and login items grouped together.
- Storage Analysis now keeps a local index for the current scan, so opening subfolders does not start the same scan again.
- Better file previews for documents, photos, and videos. Videos no longer appear in the Documents category.
- Clearer reporting for file size, disk usage, estimated reclaimable space, and the observed disk-space change after cleanup.
- Safer review and cleanup flows with file-identity checks, protected paths, Trash support, and per-item results.
- iCloud cleanup for files inside a folder that you explicitly authorize.
- Optional Agent Tools beta with the cleer CLI and a local stdio MCP server for Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other compatible tools.

## Agent Tools beta

Agent Tools is a separate, optional download. The standard Cleer app does not include the CLI or MCP binaries.

- Install it from Cleer > Settings > Command Line & Agent Tools (Beta).
- Scans use your existing Cleer license and the same safety rules as the Mac app.
